THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEBSITE
As the historian for the Charles Benbow Family of Wales, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and other parts of the UK, United States, and the world, I wanted to set up a website with information on the genealogy and history of that particular family group, and also on other Benbow families as well.
This site will show varying information on selected allied families. For the Benbow family, that includes the surnames of Carver, Stanley, Sanders/Saunders, Scott, Perry, Long, Woollen, Troy, Balfour, Dicks/Dix, and many others. It also includes the Dick family of Guilford County NC; some Virginia families from Pittsylvania, Campbell, Charlotte, and Bedford counties; and the Miller family of Middleboro, Massachusetts.
This work started in April 2008 and will be a gradual process. After adding the Welsh Benbow line, I will add other Benbow groups. Only limited information will be available. No vital information will be shown on living individuals, and only a few names will be shown for those, so keep in mind that recent descendants will not be included.
